Dr. Ahmed Alaofi joined to the group of Dr. Teruna Siahaan (Director of NIH Biotechnology Grant at KU) in 2010 as graduate research assistant, in which he earned his M.Sc. degree (in 2012) and his Ph.D. in 2016 from Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, Lawrence, KS, USA. At that time Dr. Ahmed worked on developing and designing biological and synthetic peptides to enhance brain diseases treatment. In 2016 he was appointed as assistant professor of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at Pharmaceutics Department, College of Pharmacy, KSU. In 2017 Dr. Ahmed joined to the National Biotechnology Center at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology as Research Associate. From 2017 until now he is a visiting scholar for Molecular Bioscience Department at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS USA. Dr. Ahmed is working now as Assistant professor of Biotechnology at Pharmaceutics, College Pharmacy in King Saud University.
